Spring 2009

Dear Vendor,

Welcome to the 2009 Pagosa Farmers Market!  We look forward to having you join us for a successful season this year!  Your participation is key to making locally grown, farm fresh products available to consumers in Pagosa Springs and the surrounding community.

Please read the attached Rules and Regulations (if you participated in the 2008 Farmers Market, you will see there have been some changes for this year), and note the following:

  • Consumers enjoy getting to know about you and your business.  Please post your growing methods (USDA Organic, pesticide-free, or conventionally grown) and display photographs or other information about your farm or production facility.
  • You will notice that our vendor fees are low!  This is to encourage your attendance and to ensure that your participation is as profitable as possible.  Your vendor fees cover Market overhead and advertising.
  • Each vendor is responsible for complying with the State of Colorado Health Regulations and requirements for Farmers Markets.  For further information, go to www.cdphe.state.co.us and search “farmers markets” or contact Abby Linzie at 970-731-6412.
  • This year’s Market will open promptly at 9:00am. Pease arrive by 8am so you are set up on time.
  • The Market is conducted under the auspices of the Southwest Organization for Sustainability (SOS).  Volunteer site managers will be on hand each week to ensure the smooth operation of the Market and to answer questions you may have.  Site managers will be available at the SOS booth on the site.

Please feel free to contact the Market Director, Lisa Jensen at 970-264-0430 or Ilene Haykus, Vendor Coordinator at 970-731-0553 or with any questions you might have.
